 Who is the Health Engineer? I am a Hugo. Like most of the world population, I used to part 71.6% of overweight and obese adults aged 20 and over. (National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, 2017-2018; Harvard School of Public Health, 2020). From most of my 20s to early 30s, I went from a typical 170-pound average male to maxing the scale at 270 pounds. I got this by essentially following the standard American diet (SAD). After years of trying everything, I fell in love with running as I started working on my nutrition. I had no concept of calories, much less about macros. My approach was to eat less do more. Having run numerous amounts of 5ks, 10ks, and half marathons, I drove myself into a corner, I couldn't eat less, and I couldn't do more. Enter weight lifting; I slowly started transitioning from cardio-based fitness to resistance-based fitness.
